21st Century Judaism is an independent Jewish cultural and educational institution bringing Judaism into dialogue with modern life.

Our Mission

Why now

OurVision

Our mission is to bring Judaism into full conversation with the 21st century.

We affirm Judaism not as a relic of the past, but as a vital civilizational voice for the present and the future. We stand as unabashed Jews, committed to expanding Jewish contribution to the world- through thought, action, and ethical leadership.

We fight

the ignorance that breeds antisemitism by teaching, creating, and showing what Judaism actually is: a living tradition of learning, responsibility, and human dignity.

Core Values

Judaism begins with answerability. We affirm responsibiility as the foundation of moral life-toward one another, toward society, and toward the future.

Serious Learning

We believe Jewish study is not ornamental. It forms judgment, deepens understanding, and cultivates wisdom. We honor rigorous learning across texts, disciplines, and generations.

Why This Institution Exists Now

We are living through a period of accelerated change.

Technology is reshaping human agency. Social trust is eroding. Cultural memory is thinning. Antisemitism is rising alongside widespread ignorance about what Judaism actually teaches. At the same time, many Jewish institutions have retreated into specialization—religious practice separated from culture, learning isolated from creativity, community detached from public life. We believe this fragmentation weakens Judaism’s voice. This institution exists to reunite what belongs together: learning and living, tradition and creativity, responsibility and community. We respond to antisemitism not with fear, but with presence. Not with slogans, but with education. Not with withdrawal, but with contribution. We build a Jewish place where ideas matter, relationships form, and Judaism stands visibly in the center of modern life—offering depth in an age of speed, responsibility in an age of automation, and dignity in an age of abstraction.

10-Year Horizon

We envision a vibrant Jewish cultural and intellectual center that stands at the intersection of tradition and modern life.

Over the next decade, we will become a recognized home for serious Jewish learning, artistic creation, and civic engagement—bringing together scholars, artists, families, elders, and seekers in a shared space of responsibility and creativity. We will cultivate a living Judaism that speaks clearly to contemporary challenges, from technological transformation to social fragmentation.

Our vision is to establish Judaism as an active contributor to the moral and cultural life of the 21st century: not withdrawn, not defensive, but present—shaping thought, fostering community, and offering ethical clarity in a rapidly changing world.

We aim to educate thousands, inspire generations, and demonstrate that Judaism remains a vital source of dignity, meaning, and responsibility for humanity.
